Raising money for Rett Syndrome Disorder.
Rett syndrome is a neurodevelopmental disorder that is classified as a pervasive developmental disorder by the DSM-IV.
The clinical features include a deceleration of the rate of head growth and small hands and feet. Stereotypic, repetitive hand movements such as mouthing or wringing are also noted. Symptoms of the disease include cognitive impairment and problems with socialization, the latter during the regression period. Socialization typically improves by the time they enter school. Girls with Rett syndrome are very prone to gastrointestinal disorders and up to 80% have seizures. They typically have few or no verbal skills, and about 50% of females are not ambulatory. Scoliosis, growth failure, and constipation are very common and can be problematic.
These were proberly the people we use to pay out at school or give shit to in our group of freinds becase we thought we were cool, immature or just didnt know any better.
Nows the time you can make your little bit back up for dishing it out when you were younger. If this wasnt you, hows about just the kindness of your heart? :)
Its mainly a female thing.... (disorder)
but even as much as we hate them sometimes lads we cant be having this!!!
Come down and support the night. Donate some money if your rich. Come for a boogie if your poor. Come to get drunk if your an alcoholic.
Im helping out by playing some CHEESY 70s tunes along with some good ones. It should be good fun. 60s tunes a must. im also looking for some 'groovy' disco sunnys and a afro wig. Still looking for that though.
Should be a decent night....
- door prize
- Best dressed award
bring some friends along....the more people. The more fun can be had.
HOPE TO SEE A FEW FIMILIAR FACES THERE.

I'm renting out one or two rooms at my house to help pay rent, and thought I'd post here in case it's what any of you are after.
Dernancourt (Just off Lower North East Road, near Paradise)
1 minute walk to Coles, BWS, post office and pizza shop.
15 minutes by car to city
5 minute walk to Linear Park
Bus stop is <1 min walk away, with buses going to the Paradise Interchange most of the time.
Rent $100/pw for the one room. Second room could be made available by arrangement.
Me - Rob.
25yr old male.
Nerdishly inclined, tolerant, non smoker. Interested in cars (mostly older imports), music (all sorts - I'd find musical common ground with anyone) & microelectronics, non-specifically spiritual.
I love to cook (Lots of different world foods, Japanese, Thai, Mediterranean etc), so I don't mind cooking most nights. Ex-vegetarian, so I can cook quite a lot of vego food.
I'm sometimes untidy, but never unhygenic.
Tybalt - The cat
Well behaved white part ragdoll. He'll leave you alone if you leave him alone but is very friendly if you are an animals person. Doesn't shed much hair and doesn't trash furnature/people.
The bedroom is roughly 3X4 meters, with a large built in wardrobe.
The rest of the house is fully furnished, but will need ur own bedroom stuff.
Big garden that you're welcome to tend to or plant things in. Lots of rose bushes.
Well equipped shed for the technically inclined (electrical/automotive)
Undercover car space available.
No smoking inside, (and bong smokers need not apply as I've quit years ago and don't want to put myself around it)
Computer with broadband internet access can be arranged
Self-declared "house of tolerance" (gay/bi/goth/mentally ill/vegan/nerd/eccentric friendly :)

Room for Rent - Plympton, Adelaide
We have a large airy bedroom available in a 3 bedroom courtyard home in Plympton. The room is unfurnished and looks onto a back courtyard area - just need bedroom stuff as the rest of the house is furnished. There is a large bathroom with big bath, second toilet, very large lounge/dining area, open kitchen, separate laundry and back garden area.
On a quiet street not far from Anzac Highway, bus stop around the corner, 5 minutes to city and beach.
Share with professional young couple (new teacher & nurse). Pets negotiable - we have a friendly cat, but he isn't allowed in that room in case it's an issue with anyone who applies...
Would suit student or professional - we're not fussy, just looking for someone who will help clean up occasionally, friendly but not a total party animal, non-smokers only please.
Rent: $90/week plus small bond. Available now.
Get in touch via LJ if you are interested and we'll pass on a number to contact us - please pass it on to anyone who's interested!

If you see a bunch of wild eyed, sleep deprived filmmakers roaming the streets of Adelaide during the Adelaide Film Festival
, chances are, you're witnessing a gathering of Kinoites
During the week of Feb 25th - March 3rd, KinoAdelaide will be holding its 3rd annual Kabaret. Kino filmmakers will write, shoot, edit and screen short films every 48 hours.

on: Sunday 25th Feb
Tuesday 27th Feb

One and all are welcome to our screenings (which are FREE!) - who knows, you might even be inspired to make your own film - and if you're a musician willing to donate some of your music for our films, let us know by sending an email to info[at]kinoadelaide[dot]org
See you all at the Film Festival!
